Last day in Charleston.....

First and formost, I have to give a shout out to my girl Mollie, who has let me live on her couch for about a month now. She has been there for me through thick and thin, helped me in every possible way and I will never find a way to thank her enough. Mollie- I consider you one of my BEST friends in the whole wide world, and even though this town has not brought me a lot of good- it brought me you and that is what matters. I love you :) Plus, who else can brag about their BFF who has a horse, goat, 2 dogs and 2 cats???

I am also going to miss my fabulous co-workers, besides Mollie of course, who include Justine, Bryce and Miles.

Justine and I had a rocky start, but now her and I rock! I cannot wait for you to come visit me in the A, Tine. I am going to miss all your stories about your boys, and of course, I'm going to miss your mom. I still think I'll be able to guess what you're having for dinner! Scetti anyone??

Bryce, AKA B- he's the man and I love him. Who else gets all their clothes custom made? B, your my boy- from wrestling in the hotel lobby for our morning meet-up time to your lady friends- you're a pretty big deal.

And Miles- We've had so much fun with Bubb Rubb, the beach ball, making fun of pretty much every one...I'm going to miss you. You and Erin are wonderful and I'm so excited for your life together!

I am going to miss you all...tear. Also going to give a shout out to our managers, Colleen, Elizabeth and Tommy- I'm going to miss you too :)

It's a bittersweet day today...but I am ready to move on and start my fab life in the A!

Cheers to You, Charleston!

In honor of my move in TWO days, here are some recs for people who come to visit Charleston

My favorite bars in Charleston:
The Rooftop at Vendue Inn- Downtown- a rooftop bar that overlooks historic downtown Charleston. It’s a perfect summer bar.
Raval- Downtown- Bar on upper King- there is dancing in the back of the bar on the weekends
The Brick- Downtown- It’s a hole in the wall- Live music, darts, cold beer on East Bay
Pearlz- Downtown- it’s an oyster bar on East Bay that has great happy hour specialsChai's downtown- fun place to get drinks and appetizers

Red’s Ice House- Mt. Pleasant- on the water with great views. Apparently, you can see dolphins here but I never have. They also let you bring your dogs :)
Chai's- Tapas and drinking- have a cool outdoor bar- Wednesday is reggae night!

Other bars:
Rooftop Pavilion & Hotel- Downtown- Another rooftop bar that is fancier than Vendue. FYI- No sandals for guys allowed.

First Post...

Well..I had a different blog going on but yeah, if you know me, you know the name "Better together in Charleston" no longer suits me...HA!

So my first blog is going to be about my fresh start. Because that is what I'm doing. Starting fresh in a the A and here are some things I've done and some thing's I'm planning to do...

1) Quit Smoking! - Yeah today is Day 2, but hey, that's progress, right? Without the first step, there will never be change. I even went out last night with B and had some drinks and I was good. So I'm dunzo with the nicatine, once and for all. Fact: I did quit for 2 years before my honeymoon...now it's time.

2) Learn to cook- I have all this badass kitchen stuff and no clue how to use it. I'm signing up for a cooking class, getting some lessons from friends, and I will host a dinner party, damn it! And use the 1,000,001 platters I got.

3) Never miss a bachlorette party again- no excuses. I missed so many in order to "save money" for our house...that yeah...No more. Already took steps in this direction- going to Randi's fabulous bach party in NOLA September 5th :)

4) Trust my instincts- because yeah, apparently they were spot on. And I am McGyver and all...if you want the story, I'll share.

5) Work out regularly like I used to- I mean, the divorce diet has done me good but I was really into working out before, and obviously stopped- so I'm coming back, gym!

6) Have more fun- I feel like I forgot how to have fun there for a while- and if you've hung out with me in the past month, you know I'm back....but I can't let myself forget it again. Life is fabulous, ya'll!

7) Go visit my family in Israel- I haven't seen my mom since April and my sisters, neices, newphers, aunts, uncles, cousins, granmothers since last August.

Ok...that's it for now..more coming later!
